Pickled & Oiled Steel Sheet
Millennium Metals is a supplier of hot rolled pickled and oiled (P+O) steel sheets, or HRPO sheets. For applications where a cleaner surface is desired, as opposed to basic hot rolled steel, pickled sheets are the best option.
Hot rolled pickled and oiled steel sheet has a rust-resistant surface, unlike hot rolled steel, and is free of surface imperfections such as scale. After the steel is processed and cooled, the steel is cleaned using a surface cleaner, pickled in acid, rinsed, and then coated in a layer of oil. The pickling and oiling process increases durability, extending the lifetime of the steel as well as preventing future imperfections such as rust.

Applications
Pickled flat steel sheets are common in plate burning and plasma cutting processes to make more precise components out of the steel. It also works well for more complex or structural demands. HRPO sheet is used in a variety of applications, such as:
